Well-Being and Beauty
You might have heard quotes like: “ A healthy outside starts from the inside” by Robert Urich or that “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” by Coco Chanel. Well this is true. This post is a reminder that your well-being has an impact on your beauty.
Tips to have your body and mind in check to get the glow you deserve:
Be mindful of what you put inside your body and on your skin.
Invest in yourself with quality products and good healthy ingredients.
Take care of your body, you only have one.
Focus on eliminating any negative emotions like anger, envy, self-doubt and replace them with peace, love and gratitude instead. You will look more attractive straight away.
Have your stress level under control.
I personally choose NATURAL products and try to avoid bad ingredients as much as possible. When it comes to eating I stay away from any products made by GMO, avoid processed food and choose organic products. I’m also very conscious with my personal care and beauty products. I stay away from any chemicals and synthetic molecules like parabens, sulfate and aluminum. I do the same with all my home care products. Stay away from chemicals. You’re intoxicating yourself!
Another Well-Being habits of mine is to invest in dietary supplements. Beauty starts from the inside. You want to make sure your body has all the vitamins and nutrients it needs to function well. A healthy gut will reflect on your outside. Here again I’m very careful of what brand I choose. I follow the advice of the Nutrition Expert Elissa Goodman, in terms of how to choose them. You will find my selection of supplements on the picture above.
Taking care of your body should be a priority. Working out is the greatest gift for your body. I do strength training. I mean weight lifting. It not only trains your muscles, strengthen ligaments and tendons, it also trains your bones. The benefits of strength and weight training not only include building muscles and burning body fat, but also strengthening your bones and joints reducing injury risks and diseases, as well as improving heart health. After the age 30 we start to lose bone density. It’s important to keep your bones challenged for them to become stronger and denser. Weight lifting over time helps maintain bone mass and can even build new bone. By the way strength training and weight lifting are the best anti-aging workouts. They are the best things you can do to slow signs of aging. Muscle has also been proven to prevent and fight disease because of its anti-inflammatory effect.
When it comes to skincare, I focus on providing the ingredients my skin needs and to avoid any inflammation. Again beauty starts from the inside. What you eat is what you are. So be mindful of your diet as well. I stay away from harmful and aggessive ingredients. I’m all about natural and efficient products to keep my skin moisturized and protected against free radicals and pollutants like blue light, pollution and UV exposure. You will find the products I use below. The two key ingredients I use are Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid.
I’m not really into makeup. So my makeup routine is very quick and simple. I use the Matte sunscreen from Supergoop as my “foundation”, because it’s tinted. Then I just apply my eyeliner and mascara. For those who know me, they know that my makeup signature is my purple eyeliner pencil. I have brown eyes with a tad of green in them and the purple color make my eyes pop. I finish with a blush on my cheeks and apply my lip balm. VOILA! I’m done!
