Destination VEGAS
This month’s highlight was my 40th birthday celebration weekend in Las Vegas. I had a romantic and fun getaway with my husband at the Venetian hotel. We spent the weekend eating delicious food at top notch restaurants, exploring the Strip and all the hotels’ themes that transport you to different worlds from Egypt to New York, Paris and Italy. We also saw incredible shows by Cirque du Soleil, had cocktails at beautiful places and relaxed by the hotel’s pool. Vegas truly delivers by bringing the excitement and the magic. This is one of the reasons I chose this destination. I wanted to celebrate this big birthday in the US because this is where I now live, and what other iconic place in the US brings that level of excitement, energy, fun, crazy, glamour and magic better than Vegas?! I mean it’s called the entertainment capital of the world for a good reason! The nice weather at this time of the year was another important factor for me to consider. I didn’t want to go somewhere cold.
Something we tend to forget about Vegas is that it’s not just a place where you go to party hard. It offers different experiences depending on the mood you’re in. Vegas is a foodie heaven with some of the best fine dining restaurants in the world. It’s also the home to a number of the most luxurious hotels and creative jaw dropping shows that can take your breathe away. These reasons are why I think Vegas is a perfect romantic and fun getaway for couples. Don’t worry there are plenty of excursions off the Strip too.
You will find my VEGAS Travel Guide below listing all the places we have enjoyed as well as my selection of other great spots we will check out next time.
HOTELS:
These are my top hotels’ pick to stay in Vegas. I included the Luxor, because if you’re on a budget this is a good option. It’s clean, has a cool theme and it’s located on the Strip where you definitely want to be in Vegas. We stayed at the Luxor on our first night. We landed late and didn’t want to pay tons of money for a hotel we were not going to fully enjoy, as we booked at the Venetian for the rest of our stay.
